I publish these pieces publicly to keep my procrastination from running the show, preserve thoughts for my kids when they’re old enough and ready, and savor the quiet victory of getting them out of my head, gradually shrinking the need to be heard. Posting sharpens my writing skills. It’s also my me-time. And if it happens to attract like-minded people, that’s a bonus. Damn, that all sounds more efficient than it feels.

Piece by piece, I’m assembling material for the book I tried (and failed) to write nearly twenty years ago. This time it’s nonfiction, focused on my perception of then and now, not a coming-of-age love story bloated with too many adjectives.

This is a Working Space

Think of these as early chapters of nonlinear nonfiction: snapshots of a no-bullshit conversation still in motion. Not everything here is book material. Some of it is for clarity. Don’t be surprised if I go quiet for a year, then reappear with a completed book.

What I’ll Write About

    • I write about myself because it’s healthier.
    • Fatherhood, mostly covering my ass.
    • Death, because it keeps showing up as inspiration.
    • The psychology of almost everything, because I can’t stop thinking.
    • Usually the serious stuff, but whatever proves the point.

What to Expect You

You may find some of my takes on traditional debates controversial, even blasphemous. Every word is deliberate, chosen to leave the least room for assumption and semantic battles. My writing blends lived experience, careful research, and stories that drive the point. A full range of emotions appears here. Self-awareness runs through these pieces, often poking fun at myself and acknowledging my own hypocrisy, while questioning ideas with healthy skepticism—not the kind that forces negativity to justify cynicism. Stereotypes get debunked and, when fitting, worn. Expect layers.

I’ll put out one roughly once a month. Some may feel intensely personal, painfully triggering, or uncomfortably close to home. Others may read like a private reference you’re not in on—and that’s fine. You’re still welcome here. Just know what you’re walking into.

What You Shouldn’t Expect

Clarity up front avoids confusion and keeps the exchange productive. These pieces aren’t here to fill space, appease algorithms, or chase trends at the expense of myself. When I do have your attention, don’t expect me to play the victim, partake in the blame game, or be inconsiderate towards opposing ideology. My writing isn’t strictly autobiographical, but if it furthers the work and respects others’ privacy, it’ll show up. You won’t find aggressive attention-seeking or manufactured drama. Think insight over entertainment.
